The Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) visited Korea and had a meeting with the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA)
From October 25 to October 30, the agency of the Ministry of Economic and Finance of Vietnam – VAA visited Korea by the organization of Korean company in Vietnam “NC9 ( Representative by Mr. Koo Jin Young of AM Computer Accounting Company). VAA visited and met many Korean organizations and corporations to complete a precedent study on accounting management and the computerized accounting certificate of Korea.
On October 28, we had the first meeting with the Techno Park Organization in Jeju City. On October 29, we had the official meeting between the two organizations. This is the first step of the cooperation between the two countries with the President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Choi Joong Kyung and the leaders. On October 30, there was a meeting with the Central Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Samil Accountants to learn about accounting practice and the practical operations of accountants.
This trip is meaningful for the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors, which is the association that has responsibility for the development of accounting and auditing in Vietnam). Through practical precedents and practice research that have been shared by the organizations, it will be able to greatly assist in researching and establishing Vietnamese accounting and auditing standards.
Mr. Dang Van Thanh used to work as the position of Chairman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, and now he is a Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors. He went to Korea with 5 members of the Executive Committee who have acquired the technical skills of the computerized accounting certificate and accounting management skills of Korea through this business trip. In Vietnam, the Association is promoting and applying the education of the computerized accounting certificate. The Association and NC9 Company (AM Computer Accounting Company) make a plan together to establish a certification exam system with at least 100,000 candidates take the exam every year nationwide.
Korean organizations include the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which shared their practical research and practical precedents in the first meeting. Besides, they are considering a VAA’s invitation to visit Hanoi, Vietnam next time. In addition, the Association expressed its deep gratitude to the NC9 (AM Computer Accounting Company) for creating an opportunity for this meaningful meeting.
